Nubian Natty A Bright, New Courageous Force In the World Music Scene

Nubian Natty music combines the Traditional groove of Dancehall and Culture reggae rhythms with the urban taste of Jamaican and Antigua style mix.

Nubian Natty was born on the island of Antigua located in the British West Indies where most if not all her foundation came from. Later moving to St.Croix,Virgin Island with her mother and brother at the tender age of seven coming to the United States!

This was a dramatic change in her life that would lead her to be so versatile and creative in order to adapt to a different environment as St.Croix a U.S Territory, was much smaller than Antigua. It was around this time that she fell in love with reading and writing of novels and poetry.

No one knew of Nubian’s sing writing talents until she performed first single “No Black Stone” at the Federicksted Sand Bar/Restaurant on St.Croix VI,1997. Signing her first recording deal with Groundbreaking Records in 2006 and the opportunity  to move to California where she delivered exciting, show stealing performances in San Francisco at the popular Independence Night Club. along side shows at Tahoe,Squaw Valley California and Azkennaz Night Club.

Nubian Natty’s album “Nah go like me” ( released by Groundbreaking Records New Years Day 2007)  raised her profile and popularity in both California and Virgin Islands areas.

She is a woman who speaks her mind. She is quoted as saying  “Reality is someone’s Opinion, it isn’t Facts” she began to sing out in order to acquire justice for the progression of women especially,single parent women that is at a young age. Her style began to emerge from her courage to take on this important mission.

The upcoming releases titled  “Tabacco Nah Cross Yah!” and “Dun It” will be available in the summer of 2010, followed by more planned singles and collaborations.
